Gibson County Household Hazardous Waste and Recycling Day is from 8 a.m. to 12 p.m. Saturday at Toyota's south parking lot.

The event, co-sponsored by Gibson County Solid Waste Management District, accepts expired/unused medications, household/car batteries, paint, oil/grease, pesticides, fluorescent light bulbs, electronics, household chemicals, and residential (20 lb.) propane tanks.
