Broadway Players Present "Moon Over Buffalo"
–
April 5, 2019 – April 6, 2019
roadway Players is excited to kick off their 2019 season with this rollicking farce!
Friday, April 5th & Saturday, April 6th--7:00 PM
Friday, April 12th & Saturday, April 13th--7:00 PM
Sunday, April 14th--2:00 PM
The hilarious Moon Over Buffalo centers on George and Charlotte Hay, fading stars of the 1950s. At the moment, they’re playing Private Lives and Cyrano De Bergerac in rep in Buffalo, New York with five actors. On the brink of a disastrous split-up caused by George’s dalliance with a young ingénue, they receive word that they might just have one last shot at stardom: Frank Capra is coming to town to see their matinee, and if he likes what he sees, he might cast them in his movie remake of The Scarlet Pimpernel. Unfortunately for George and Charlotte, everything that could go wrong does go wrong, abetted by a visit from their daughter’s clueless fiancé and hilarious uncertainty about which play they’re actually performing, caused by Charlotte’s deaf, old stage-manager mother who hates every bone in George’s body. With a plethora of pratfalls, slamming doors, and backstage shenanigans, Moon Over Buffalo is a fast-paced, hilarious screwball comedy!
Tickets are $15 and can be purchased at the box office of The Princeton Theatre or at www.broadwayplayers.org.
For evening performances doors open at 6 for cocktail hour. The auditorium opens at 6:30 and curtain is at 7pm. For the Sunday matinee, the auditorium opens at 1:30 and the show begins at 2pm.
